I heard that Combivent is to be taken off the market by 2013 because of the propellant. If this is true, what will replace it for us COPDers? It is such a life saver for me, a 29 yr lung CA survivor. I manage the condition quite well by using a nebulizer with Albuterol Sulfate, Advair and the Combivent inhaler.
I understand that Combivent is to be taken off the market. Is this true?

Please discuss this with your doctor. There are other combination inhalers, which can be used in it's place. Your doctor will help you make the best choice for you.

My Uncle is a lung cancer survivor and they have already made the decision to make the change and the drug that they are using seems to be as effective as the combivent was, several years ago when first diagnosed with this surgery followed by medical intervention was used and his chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is thus far under control, I wish you only the very best, I am sure that they will find a medication that will replace this and be effective for you please take care and best wishes
