Hi, I take Klonopin and many other meds, I have done my research like you, and some come out as severe and moderate. This means you should be aware that, in some cases , the meds might interact or not, and what you should expect and do..is for your own personal safety.
I am 41 have been on knlonopin for about 6 years, I take 8mg to 10mg divided through out the day, combined with mood stabilizers, atypical second generation antipsyachotics, seizure disorders, and some ohters and I am fine. Do not worry so much you will be ok.=
Now if your doctor prescribed it, he/she knows why.- They are trained professionals.-
Take care, still call your doc.-

I checked, as you know klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine every med which ends with am(drug name... not brand name), ususally is a benzo , there are approx 15 to 17, so you know.-
I checked for your peace of mind and the ones you must avoid, which are also benzos are alprazolam (Xanax) and triazolam (Halcion).-
There are many other meds, consult your doctor... ask for a list.-
Take care.-
I couldn't take the klonopin cause it gave me bad headaches and made me sick to my stomach. So I am on the xanax, I take like 1mg during the day and then 1 mg with my 60mg of elavil at bedtime. So far the elavil has helped me gain 5lbs back from the 29 I lost from the other quack of a dr I had. I got new oncologist in April and he is awesome, my blood counts are in remission already from his help. But I still get the shakes, sometimes it's like I am shaking inside so no one see's it but my hands sometimes shake. New dr said it might get better and it might not, he said it was from other dr putting me on a med then a week later taking me off and putting me on something else, messed with my body so now I get these shakes which sometimes is anxiety. There are things now I hate to do that I did before like drive long distance, then I just had someone ask me how long the dr gave me to live in the grocery store.

She was with a old neighbor who knew about me but I didn't know this lady that ask me that. i had to leave and cryed all day and that day I had not had a xanax at all till then. Why do people have to be so cruel? No wonder people have bad nerves and get anxiety!! Why shouldn't I take xanax with my meds? Thanks for your reply. i am a little late to respond, been busy with my son's upcoming wedding in Sept.
