Hello,
I take seroquel at night, I do not take the other med.
I am now on 300mg pm, and I can fall asleep but wake up in an hour, and that´s it , I have taken 900mgs of seroquel and same thing. It may be a re , rebound effect, instead of doing it´s job, it is keeping us awake.
I will talk to my psyachiatrist about this, I sugesst you do the same, this is no life... plus I do suffer from insomnia to top it all up.
I take depakene, seroquel, klonopin, ativan and abilify, and still can´t sleep.
And I know it is the seroquel, I know I have to swicth to zyprexa...
Before I took seroquel I was fine, started , and yes it was ok, but then, what I discussed with you.-

Maso, I looked at this question as i figured it was one you would answer and I had been meaning to tell you, altho you probably already know, there have been some new side effects found to be related to the seroquel. My step brother, of whom i am guardian, takes Zyprexa, he takes all meds at night and it seems to help him sleep, i changed his meds when i took over guardianship and went from Haldol to Zyprexa, which has side effects too of course, but seems to work well for him.

Maso, in what circumstances did you increase your Seroqel dosage and what effect did it have?
I went up to 900mgs due to a very strong manic, more than episode, lasted 2 years, and seroquel, did nothing plus I was on zyprexa, klonopin, chlopromazine (I have a very high tolerance level to chemicals). It was a complete nightmare, I could´nt sleep , work, 2 years of my life , just like that vanished, wasted.- And I got my lfe back 5 months ago, but now also suffer from insomnia, I have come to realize, in my case the smaller the dose the more I can sleep , if I am lucky, I get 3 hours of sleep, sometimes I do not even sleep at all, thank GOD, such wonferful site exists.-
