How long does percocet stay in your system for a urine drug test?
24 Jul 2009
Hello. First i need ask do you take 3-4 a day or 3/4th a day? Lets assume its 3 to 4 per day. I was taking 4 per day and had the same thing happen to me. I was being tested for methadone and Percocet and BOTH come up clean. I was livid as this was not the case and after the Dr trying to make me feel like i was doing something wrong, I went home and contacted the lab that did my testing and spoke to the head dept so this is how i know this information. as Far as the percocet it can be that it just isnt enough to be detected , also people metabolize drugs differently and this could be another factor. In my case they ruled it wasnt enough in my system due to the length of time i was on them and at the time was 3 years. The methadone though it dont apply here who knows maybe in time you will take this for pain so i think it could be worth a mention, ANY GOOD Dr will know methadone cant be tested on a standard 10 panel drug test.
It has to be specially tested by itself and the testing cost over 1000.00 per test. I know this for fact as im still taking this drug even today and was told that recently although i already knew but as I have new Dr was making sure I was being tested right!! I also learned this... DEMAND A BLOOD TEST! if you getting the pain pills you need rely on your test, Know that urinalysis is NOT 100 accurate and you have a right to prove yourself right if you are indeed taking these pills. It is documented that urinalysis are not always 100 % correct due to the fact that people can metabolize drugs differenly. If you were talking a HIGh dose this probably wouldnt apply. However in any case if you feel the test is wrong demand a drug test because ion the end they may take your pills away. They shouldnt relay on these types of testing because peoples lives are impacted by their outcome. I hope you get this resolved and you best shot right now is a blood test. They are FAR more accurate! By the way I made such a stink over that, They changed the way they tested people at the old pain clinic I was in
