Iam now taking 2000mg of acetazolimide, i dont have headaches anymore and ive been on this med for a year. My optic nerves are now normal for what they will be and next month i will start reducing my med with what my dr suggest to see if i can start coming off the med. The med does make you really tired but ive finially learn to work thru this. My feet do tingle really bad when i dont get my med on time or forget it. In the beginning my hands hurt real bad to, but that has gone away.

Hi I have psuedotumor also. They just uped me to 1250 a day and said I will probably go up to 1500mg a day. I have been doing a lot of research, there doesn't seem to be a cure. Best bet is weight loss, but with all these headaches and misery its hard to loose weight. But all these meds are better than a shunt from what I have found.

Hi, im up to 2250mg of acetazoimide now the headaches are gone and the swelling on my optic nerves are gone now but my vision is still flutuating. I fell so much better and have found a support group that i will be attending for the first time on wednesday. I have lost 10lbs but need to loose at least 10 more. I dont get the weight lost stuff, im not obese so this should not be a reason for my problem.
