... clusters I'm having them a lot. I seem to have some form of head pain everyday. The meds I'm on at the moment are topiramate 100mg twice a day. Also propranolol 40mg three times a days. And tramadol 50mg three times a day and diclofenac 50mg three times a day when I can't cope. Which is a lot lately. Today my doctor has put me on a weeks course of Prednisolone 20mg. To try and help. I just feel like my head hurts in some form all the time. And any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have really bad migraines all the time. Do you take any triptans? They are amazing at getting rid of migraines if you take them in time. Is your doctor a neurologist that specializes in your type of migraines? The only other thing that I can suggest that really helps immensely is an ice pack covered in a towel around my neck, (my husband prefers it over his eyes), but seriously, we must have 10 ice packs in the freezer, so that when one gets warm, we can take out another. Don't knock the non-drug answers. Sometimes they can be the best. Good luck, I really mean that, as I KNOW what migraines can do to me.

Have you tried craniosacral therapy? I get headaches that have both migraine and cluster aspects, once for 6 months straight. Nothing did more than dull the pain/pressure. One craniosacral session and I was pain-free by the time I got home. Now I see her every two months or so.
Craniosacral therapy is a WONDERFUL treatment for migraines!! I almost forgot because when I moved to a small town, no one even knew what I was talking about, OR wouldn't use pure craniosacral therapy, instead mixing it with other massage.
Too true! I've been shouting about it since getting my life back. Luckily I live in Seattle where alternative medicine is easy to find. Sometimes I consider moving but really couldn't live anywhere without that option :)

Gladis37 - sorry, I just looked up what bppv is - vertigo. Wanted you to know about a homeopathic medication that helps me greatly with motion sickness, and it helps a friend who has vertigo - it's called Tabacum. You buy it at a healthfood store, it comes in little bottles - Homeopathic - little tiny sweet tasting pills that dissolve under your tongue. I used to get motion sickness in the car - dizzy, nausea, migraine symptoms - Ugh - I would get so sick! I found out about Tabacum and we went on two 4,000 mile vacations. Homeopathic things work about 50% of the time for me - about the same as regular medications. I hope you can find something that will work for you, and sorry about not checking out what you are dealing with earlier! EJ
