I recently went to my dr with migrains. He said he was perscribing imitrex. My persription reads?

... prochlorperazine 10 mg. sub for compazine . Coulld he have made a mistake?

I would certainly ask him about it. Prochlorperazine is the generic form of Compazine, which is used for nausea, vomiting, and psychotic disorders. The generic for Imitrex is sumatriptan and is specifically used as an antimigraine agent. Hope this helps.
