I switched because I developed an allergy to hydrocodone. After reading the comments in the oxycodone support group I'm really nervous about becoming addicted. I take it every 6 hours four times a day. I never take more than subscribed. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice about this? Should I look for another pain med?
My med allergies are - Dilaudid, compazine, reglan, droparadol, toradol , maxalt, zomig, sulfas. Plus morphine cause me to hallucinate. Please help.
I recently switched vicoprofen 7.5 for oxycodone 5/500. I'm nervous about getting addicted. Help pl?

You will build a tolerance. If you take it as prescribed you won't get addicted. Take only as needed, maybe stretch it to every 8 hours.
Tolerance can lead to addiction, be careful.
I have gone through withdrawal from methadone and my past included every opioid known, including oxycontin. Take caution. If it stops working for you, tell your doctor, don't take more than directed. God Bless and Good Luck. Sable
