you headackes may not be cured by an antidepressent. ask your doctor for clonidine hcl 0.2 mg 3-4 times daily.it is used in hard to controll blood pressure cases and there are several other uses it workes for me an has for 20+ years.ask your doctor for the pros and con's.try it.clonidine also known as catapres does things inside your body that help ease tention it's a vaso diliater and must be taken regular.it helped me and my wife and several other vets i know.i hope this will work for you.daniel 36

check with the doctor just to be on the safe side I was allergic to this drug so once I experience this I tried hard to avoid all about it but do what is safe and double check with him I know this isn't the direct answer but I just want what is best for you and so does everyone else

I also suffer from headaches, migraines to be specific. Previously my PCP prescribed amitriptyline, which did not help, and then she referred me to a neurologist, who prescribed Topomax, which caused very bothersome side effects. Then I went to a new neurologist who prescribed nortriptyline and citalopram (I also suffer from depression) in addition to stopping hormonal birth control. I have noticed far less migraines since following this treatment plan, but I am not sure if it is the combination of the 3, one or both of the medications, or simply stopping the BC pills. I understand you being tired of trying so many different drugs, as I feel that way about anti-depressants, which of the numerous ones I've tried, none have seemed to help much. I am thinking of weaning myself off of the prescriptions and starting natural remedies. At that point I may be able to better determine if the migraine prevention was due to one or both of the medications or just stopping the birth control pill. I hope you find something to help your headaches soon, take care.
