i am not too sure about the Metrotexate injections, but i am pretty certain that forteo injections caused my mother a very painful 2 years , where she stopped walking , and was told she had dementia and need a nursing home. After the two year prescription ran out, and alot of her money, she has "recovered" from her prognosis, she walks, bathes , feeds herself and is my best friend again. Even gets on computer and chats with me every day. Just saying look closely at the forteo shots, they are still experimental according to medicare, wonder why?I hope everything turns out good in your case, you are a giant step ahead by using this website, the people who answer you are the ones that are going through the same thing.. Listen to them, I think you already know the answer to your own question. Good Luck

I use Forteo, & not without reservations about the osteosarcoma. I worry about it as they say it is a deadly cancer, but without the Forteo my life is pretty much over anyway because my osteoarthritis is so bad. I break bones not doing anything. I am 65 & have taken every bone building drug since they hit the market. I have just gotten worse. I don't take methotrexate ,& don't know the interreactions, but I'm sure if her doctor knows this, & wants her on Forteo, the doctor would know best. Has she had any type of cancer of the bone? Or any bone disease besides the osteoporoisi? If not she should be ok. I have not read anything about Forteo attacking the immune system per say. Good luck to her & you. I wish you the best...
