ruby123I recently got drugged at a party with something called "serax" generic name "oxazepam". Ive been online researching it since I've never heard of it before. My doctor told me that its a strange drug to use to drug someone. I dont know who exactly did it, but there were only 10 people at that party. Can anyone tell me anything about this drug besides the fact that its for anxiety? Also what are my chances at prosicuting the person who did this? Maybe someone has had a similar experience..

I don't know what legal action you can take unless you can determine who put this in your drink, but I do know that Serax is more than antianxiety medication-it is also a sedative/hypnotic. That's probably the reason someone chose to put it in your drink. It can cause fatigue, dizziness, hallucination and even transient amnesia (person is oriented, can complete even complex tasks, but has no memory for minutes to hours of the onset). It's a little late now, but my best advice would be to never leave your drink at ANY party-public or private. I hope this helps.

Yes, thank you. You told me more about it than I had found online. It's for certain that I CANNOT point a finger at one single person at this point, sad as it is. I'll probably never know. But-this party inperticular I was with some people who I thought I trusted..and instead of saying omg you think you were drugged!!! They wrote me off as drinking to much and demanded that I appologize to them for the way I acted at the party. When I finally got the paper work in and left them all msgs saying..here I have proof on paper..they never responded, it's been over 24 hrs now since I let them know. And I'm really pissed.

I'm sorry this happened but I do hope you'll consider my advice. I have 3 god-sons who are high school and college aged and I tell them these horror stories so that when they go out with "friends", they'll think twice about leaving their drinks unattended.
