I have spasms with PTSD. And the tramadol( which is cheep) does indeed help with the pain involved when my esophogus spasms, but there is another part of the Ryzolt that acts as a anti- depresant, And I wanted to know if anyone knew what that part of the script is? I need to find something cheaper. .

I hope things are getting better now.That is horrible & i can't imagene going through that.I live in domastic violence & i think going through yours is worse.I don't know what kind of stores you have but we have Giant Eagles.I have some generics that you can have 30 pills for 4.00 or 90 pills for 10.00 .There's Prozac,Wellbrutren,Trazodone (take at night) Effexor,Elavil,Tegretol (take at night & it is for bipolar but doctors will use it for antidepression)If you don't have this store you probally have another one that has a deal like ours.Also my other friend has that # the drug company gives meds free,you have to call the one that makes the company.Then again if you have insurence they might not do that one.So try the store one just say you don't want it under your insurance.That's how i do it & mine was 70$ so i took generic of another kind,it worked the same & cost me 10.00.

At this time, there are no generic Ryzolt products available, as this medication is protected by patents. Once the first patent expires in May 2014, there may be several companies that manufacture a generic version. However, lawsuits or other patents for specific uses of Ryzolt may extend or shorten the exclusivity period of this medication. Tramadol is the "generic name" of Ryzolt; it is not a "generic version" of the drug.

Hi questing. I am so glad you marked this question conversational because I do not have a direct answer for you. I just spent the past 30 mins or so reading all your questions and comments. I am truly inspired by your strength and willingness to try different remedies, therapies, and even willing to travel to get the help you so desperately need.
You have been through hell and back, literally. I could not imagine having to start all over, picking up the pieces of your lives and move on without feeling sorry for yourself and losing all hope. I am happy the depression is better.

I received my prescription from my doctor and she gave me samples first which included a prescription card for a discount. I would have to normally pay 50.00 (non perferred price) and this card takes it down to 10.00 (my generic price.) Ask your doctor they always have samples and discounts from pharmacy sales people.

OK, I checked on generic for Ryzolt... "very little is known about when a generic for Ryzolt will be available... " So sorry I couldn't come up with more info for you.
Tramadol is indeed less expensive and has the same active ingredients in it as Ryzolt. It too acts like an antidepressant. Perhaps you could see if it would work for you as well as name brand, just give it more time???

Thanks, ever so for your help and the information. And congradulations on your own fortitude! I have to admit I did have concirns , about addiction. This last medication from my family doctor, has been the most helpful. It's the only thing that has really given me any relief from the pain.. The spasms are still here, but they don't hurt so much. And some other component in it has helped my depression, yet done me mo harm. I feel the closest to normal emotionally, as I have in many years. All of the other drugs I have rejected, take away your ability to think, just leave you numb.. That's not an acceptable answer. I am so worried for that boy Life get get overwhelming. But sometimes something as simple as this forum can be a life line. I hope to God some one has found him in time.
As long as you are taking what your doc prescribed, don't worry about addiction too much, if you need this med, than you need it!
My situation was so much different.
I too am concerned about Aaron, hope he is OK, just saying a prayer for him.
