The azithromycin will not help/cure the scars that you already have but it will prevent any new ones by treating the inflammation and bacterial infection associated with acne. Studies have shown that azithromycin is a very effective treatment for acne. How it works for you will depend on how severe your acne is and how compliant you are in taking your medicine.
