Broni, Lotronex is a wonderful, life changing medication with NO side effects if you are truly the person it was meant for. It's for IBS, diarrhea only. I don't think it's for any inflammatory illness. I've been using the .5 mg dose (twice a day) for over a year and I can tell you there is nothing to be afraid of. If you get constipated, talk to your doctor about decreasing to once a day. You really won't believe how much better you feel. It helped me within two days but took some months for me to stop having spasms altogether. Also, it's nice not to have to drug myself into a stupor when I need to sit through a show, etc. Lotronex plus an occasional Immodium for extra insurance will allow you to get your life back. I don't know how long you've been suffering, but for me it was decades. I'm glad I didn't have to be one of the people who went on this medication and then lost it when it was taken off the market. You'll never want to go a day without this medication. Fee better.
