... Plaquenil yet. Any words of wisdom for me? I am having a lot of lower back and leg pain which just started last week. Also, does the hairloss stop and the hair grow back? I have no scaring on my scalp. Thanks for any info!

My sister has lupas and she tells me the same thing pain in back and legs my heart goes out to you sorry for diagnosis. I'm glad you know what is wrong though so you can find treatment to help you with the symptoms I don't really know anything about the dermyatosis {sorry about spelling} but I do suggest call the lupus foundation for info on that they can send you pamflets of important information. I'm sorry about your hair maybe if you type in hair loss there may be a group on this sight who can help you! Sorry I'm not much help but I wanted to give yu a shoulder t lean on if needed. I myself is having a prob with hair loss but differnt circumstances. I wish you good health and happier day litlmommag

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnoses, but know you can start treatment and get better. My mom had lupus for 48yrs, but she never lost her hair, this could be attributed to your dermatomyositis (sorry for the spelling) I think this has something to do with skin tissue. I'm sorry, but like litlmommag Im here if you need to vent. Good luck!!!
