I have thalassemia minor. Should I take folic acid 5 mg. daily on regular basis?

Yes, you can take folic acid regularly but please just get it okayed by your doctor.

Mcg = what percentage of mg?

I have been prescribed 1mg daily of folic acid. My vitamin has 400 mcg per pill. Do I need just folic acid pills @ 1mg?
