I take 7.5 of vicoprofen 4 times a day. I am also allergic to Compazine, Reglan, Dilauidid , Droparadol, Toradol,Sulfas, Maxalt and Zomig. I am very happy with the level of relief Vicoprofen gave me before this new Codeine allergy. It typically takes my pain from an 8 to a 4. I am desperate to find an alternative that works jus as well. I have tried Darvocet and Fiornal in the past and have not been happy with the results.
I have taken vicoprofen everyday for about 2 years, but I am now allergic to codeine. App. 2day?

I see my Doc. today. I'd like to go in with alternative drugs in mind. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, codeine allergies rule out morphine based medications such as oxycodone, hyrdocodone, ms contin, opana, etc. Darvocet has been discontinued too. There's really not many opiate-based meds that come to mind. Depending on the source of pain, you might be able to try neurontin, savella, etc. Those help more with nerve pain. Maybe there's alternative treatments you could try. It really depends on the source of pain though. Good luck at the doctor's visit. Hopefully they'll come up with something that can help you.
Best wishes,
chris
