I was told that it is because this medication contains steroids and my body is not taking this well. How true is this?
I have taken levothroid for over 10 months and instead of loosing weight I have gained about 60 lbs?

Levothroid does not contain steroid.
Levothroid can also cause increased appetite and can cause weight gain.

i take levothroxin i don't know if it's the same drug but i have an appointment this morning with a doctor am i'm going to ask that direct question because i can't seem to get my weight down and i've been blaming the lyrica when maybe something else is working against me too. thanks for bringing that up i'll try and get an answer for us today.missy

i spoke with my lap-band doctor and he wants me to talk with my endocrine
doctor since i'm having some of these symptoms:i'm only having the sleep,nervous, hot flashes, weight changes, and hair loss and mine isn't mild.

Levothyroxine side effects
Stop using levothyroxine and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
headache;
sleep problems (insomnia);
nervous or irritable feeling;
fever, hot flashes, sweating;
changes in your menstrual periods;
appetite changes, weight changes;
Less serious side effects may include mild hair loss
my doctor says it is possible and i should talk to my endocrine doctor about it since i'm having other side effects from the drug like hair loss, anxiety,and hot flashes. missy
