This is not a good idea. Warfarin is contraindicated in the first trimester and the last 4 weeks of a pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about switching to Arixtra or Lovenox. They both have a generic but do NOT get the generic of Lovenox. They claim that the Lovenox generic is the same but it really is not. Also you will have fewer issues with osteoporosis on the Arixtra. Neither of the medications crosses the placenta like Warfarin does. Hope this helps.
