have ended with cariac arrythmias, 1 required pacemaker.my family member is to have cardioversion & echo & other cardiac testing. No family member has had cardiac problems until late 70s.
I have known 5 people on Zestoretic (Lisinopril) who have developed dry, hacking coughs. 4 of these?

terrified sister, This makes me a little nervous too. I just had my Lisinopril increased from 10mg to 20mg about a month ago and have had a nagging cough since, been on antibiotics x4 and prednisone x2 in the last month with no success. I never thought of the Lisinopril increase. Now I am wondering if there is a connection, It also instead of lowering my blood pressure has raised it substantially, 150/100 has been the lowest in a month. I am going for a echocardiogram soon because my PCP says my heart is working overtime for some reason, I think I am going to call her when the office opens and see if this could possibly be the problem, it all fits together with the increase in dose. I don't know but will find out soon. I will let you know what she says o.k.. I have to find out anyway about this nagging cough and blood pressure because I have to have a procedure and possible surgery to follow because of a cancer issue on June 11th so I better call her later on today when she opens.
