I have low kideny function. After reading about this drug, I can't imagine why my doctor put me on it. I don't think I should be taking it along with my crestor. What do you all think about this?

I'm so sorry. I was reading about this drug and then I posted assuming that it would show the name of the drug I was referring to. The name of the drug is Trilipix. It is used in combination with my Crestor for lowing trigylerides.
Treatment with Trilipix should be initiated at a dose of 45 mg once daily in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment and should only be increased after evaluation of the effects on renal function and lipid levels at this dose. The use of Trilipix should be avoided in patients with severely impaired renal function.
