I have diabetes, totally insulin dependent and am taking lipitor?
I have been on this med since the late eighties and have consistently had the bad
stomach problems. None of the doctors, (Florida, Okinawa, Alaska, North Carolina) have attributed this or my persistent muscle pain to the Lipitor. Of course, they gave me Glucatrol for over 3 years, along with insulin, and I am allergic to Sulfa drugs, my skin broke out, peeled off in large sheets, itched, and their diagnosis for this, I needed to changed dish detergents! What do you think about lipitor causing the diarhhrea and muscle pain?

One of my clients just mentioned and swore by a probiotic supplement called Culturelle for any stomach ailment especially #3 ( diarrhea) I am trying it for GERD. I haven't been on it but for 3 days. It can be found at most drug stores and mass retail stores. It may help.
Thank you for your help. I will talk with my doctors (all three of them) about the Lipitor and see if we can change it, also I will check on the Culturelle. I am on so many medications, I will have to see if I can take it without a bad interaction. I do appreciate the help.
