I have bipolar 11 and have been told Oxytocin improves mood behaviours. Can it be purchsed in pill?

If you don't mind my asking are you a man or a woman? I couldn't find any off label indications for this drug and I'm curious about what it would do to a mans body. Or a womans who is not in labor or postpartum. I would think it would still cause uterine contractions and that doesn't sound fun Where did you here about this use and do you know about any side effects. I'm completley intrigued by this use for the drug so please forgive me grilling you.

My psychologist was telling me about Oxytocin, that studies have shown good reports with mood matters but after reading the 5pgs of info about it i started to see if it could be bought in pill form. I could only find doses by needle and it was very expensive. Thanks for your concern Mel, take care. Bruce

My next trip to the GP will be question time, here in Aust. the doctors don't care for us with too muchinterest and as you well know we need regular follow up with the latest info.
