More recently my fingers have been swollen and stiff in the morning. This usually subsides later in the day after taking Motrin. Yesterday my left ankle sprained on it's own. I have stopped taking the Lipitor.
My past experiences with Statins caused muscle pain only, never anything this dramatic. I have also been taking Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin D3 with the Lipitor
(as statins deplete you body of these essential vitamins).
Of course my doctor dismisses my recent complaints as being arthritis.
I will stay off this awful drug for now but will have to change my diet (min.sat.fats). Have tried Niaspan but it is awful too
(very flushed and feverish).
