... now I don't know what to do. I need to taper off it but don't have any to taper off of... my doc wants to try regular tranxene but is there a way to get the SD form somewhere? I'm afraid to go thru a withdrawl. I've been cutting my halves in half again and am getting anxious just from trying to figure this out.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be anything equivalent to Tranxene-SD Half Strength (11.25 mg) tablets on the market. There are generic versions of Tranxene available, but not in SD form. Tranxene SD Half Strength is a once daily (long acting) formulation of Tranxene - and is technically the same as taking one 3.75 mg tablet three times a day.

Thank you! I actually have been taking 1/2 of 11.25 each night so I'm thinking that two 3.75 or a 7mg split in half would work too. I take it for vertigo(dizzyness) but now am finding I'm really ANXIOUS cause of this change. This reassures me that I can continue taking a low dose and hopefully stay safe and not have to go thru withdrawal. thank you so much,
