I have thrush in my mouth. My doctor of 40 years retired and now I'm going to a new one and when I got a sore throat he gave me a really powerful antibiotic and I ended up with this thrush. He then gave me Nilstat and told me to swish it in my mouth and spit it out. I went back a month later and he said its very severe now and that he found out I was supposed to swallow it. I've now been doing that for 2 weeks. I'm also taking probiotics. I take 4 a day.
It is a shame that you weren't given proper instructions at the start. Fungal infections can be difficult to treat and require persistence. If you are seeing no signs of improvement soon go back to your doctor. You may need to take an oral anti-fungal tablet. Good luck.
