I have been taking 10 mg of Aygestin for about 18 months now for endometriosis. I have had incredible results with it and my symptoms are gone. I have tried to go off of the Aygestin a few times but the symptoms reappear almost immediately. I am concerned about the length of time I have been taking the medication. My gyno has told me not to worry about it but I am still concerned. Does anyone have any info on how long you can safely remain on Aygestin?

This is what was found on the net:
Initial daily dosage of 5mg AYGESTIN for two weeks. Dosage should be increased by 2.5mg per day every two weeks until 15mg per day of AYGESTIN is reached. Therapy may be held at this level for six to nine months or until annoying breakthrough bleeding demands temporary termination.
Hope the info helps? Please take care, be safe & well.
