sulfasalazine, and today my dr. added steroids. She suggested enbrel, however that really scares me. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I have been recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and I am currently taking mtx, lodine?

don't be scared you will be amazed how much it will change your life. i know several people that take it for that. i take it for r/a, my friend was afraid and stayed on steroids and now her bones are crumbling. see your doctor like he says and do regular bloodwork and pay attention to your body and you will be so happy you did it. mgood luck

OCPAT: I hv been on mtx, and lodine. I continued lodine and am still on it. My Dr. suggested embrel and I stayed on it 2 yrs. and wish I was on it now. It worked wonders for me. Cleared my psoriais and I was pain free. Due to turning 65 and hving to go on medicare I was unable to continue the drug because of the cost. After wiping out our savings acct. I decided to go off of it and the results hv not been good. I am on Remicaid only because of the fact it is covered under Medicare Part B. It has had 0 results 4 me. You should give the Embrel a try and I hope you hv as much success as I did because it was life changing.

Thanks so much. I am taking so many medicines each day now in addition to the weekly mtx-I am weighing my options to see which way to go. I really do not want to stay on the steroids too long, and I have had many shots in my knee. Thanks again.
