blondier72I have read that the course of treatment with nexium is for 4 to 8 weeks to heal and a second dose may be needed. I went off of it one day and the minute I ate food I got heartburn so bad that I was unable to do daily things. I did take the pill after the reaction and it took more than 24 hrs to calm it down. So I am wondering why nexium didnt heal my problem? Should I take a different drug for this problem?
I have been on Nexium for 3 yrs is this to long to be on this drug? I have a lot of gas pain &bloat?

I was on Prilosec the Nexium for many, many years. The doctor said I may be on it forever. I know when I do not take it. I feel like with the gas I have inside me I could light up a whole city.
So what I am saying; According to my physician and the physician at UCLA I probably be on this for a lifetime.
