I have been on mirena since november of 2008 and ive missed my first period october 2009. should i?

I dont think you should be concerned,ive been on it for a year and dont have periods anymore .

I agree, don't panic. I've had a Mirena since Nov. of 2007. Though initially traumatic, I now love it. I haven't had a period in 3 years, other than the occasional spotting after some particularly great sex.

I have had Mirena since July of 2007, and I no longer have periods at all. I've been told that is completely normal. I will occasionally have spotting, which normally only requires a pantyliner to control. Nothing remotely like a "normal" period. That is one of the BIGGEST PERKS to this birth control, in my opinion:-) I love it! I don't gain weight on it, I don't have mood swings, nor appetite issues. No acne problems like the pill can cause. Its just all around the greatest thing I can think of for birth control. I've heard some people DO have bad side effects, but for me, its just worked out incredibly well. I love it.

i have been on Mirena since June of 2008 and i always have a period on the 1st of every month that last for a day. i have missed my period this month, i have dizzy spells atleast 2 times a day, headaches, bloating, cramps and a pain in my breast. So i went to the doctor this week and i'm not pregnant however the hormones that mirena send off doesn't work good with a large amount of caffeine. Yes caffeine so if you are having problems like this you may want to cut caffeine out of your routine and see if something changes.
