I have been on Micardis 40mg (Telmisartan) for about 9 months and in the past 5 months developed progressively very dry and bloodshot eyes and
dry mouth. Could this be a side effect of this medication?
Drs jump to Sicca and Sjorgens syndrome but all except the ANA autoimmune tests proved negative. All other blood tests within normal range.
As well as Micardis, I take Thyroxin and Lipitor daily--- could there be interaction between the drugs. Stopped taking 125mg aspirin daily.
Would be interested to hear of similar experiences.
