I have been on Lotrel for about 4 weeks..2.5/10 can I just stop taking the drug by myself?

Currently taking 10mg of amplodipine. not working effectively so do you think lotrel will work ?

Taking Lotrel for 2 months my face and ears get hot as fire several times a day?
