Also had exhaustion and dizziness for a few months and not finding a cause. I found that it effected my ability to breathe and sought out a physical therapist for help. she did an assessment and asked if I was on a statin. she felt this was the cause and my MD later agreed and had me stop taking it. has anyone else had this and if so, how long before you got your energy back? after 2 weeks a great deal of the pain is gone but I find I am exhausted (but feel a bit better after flushing my system with water)
Had to stop Vytorin because of muscle pain, weakness, etc, anyone else, how long till better?

thanks Von-1. I consulted my doc about 5 days ago when it was terrible. though she did not have time to get me in for an appointment she advised me to get more rest, increase my fluids and try an antihistamine if my ears continue to feel plugged up (some of this is likely allergy related). I have been following her directions as best as I can and feel a bit better. I am now really tired as opposed to feeling like I am going to pass out. the muscle pain comes and goes which I think is a good sign. I have only been off vytorin for 2 weeks now and have been on it for years so I think I need to be more patient. I have a follow up with my md in 2 weeks.
Doc, sounds like w/d, and maybe you are getting better. Please give me an update after your appt. Anything else comes up let us know if we can help. Von-1
will do- I feel a tiny bit better from yesterday. there may be something to drinking lots of water. I was dehydrated to a real extent but I think it is also helping to cleanse the medication from my system. If it helps, I do not mind needing to use the bathroom so much. :O)
Please note to vytorin users, I think it helped me for several years before I had the reaction. it may never effect you this way.
