... said I had GERD. He treated me for GERD (protonix 40 mgs 2 times a day) I'm still coughing. He sent me to asthma doctor (I was already seeing one and have been on singulair for 2+ years. The asthmas doctor has given me many inhalers to no avail. I am still coughing. I do not have shortness of breath and I never cough at night. I am very frustrated at this point. The latest is a nebulizer 4 times a day. Does anyone else have just a cough (often I spit up mucus) but no wheezing or shortness of breath

I was taking prilosec twice a day regardless of my diet. i eliminated citrus,tomato dairy spicy foods, I got a slant pillow for my bed as I usually had to sleep sitting up and nothing made a difference if I stopped the prilosec. I was recommended by my herbalist to start taking "Aloe Life"Herbal aloe "Stomach Plus Formula". I took it 3 times a day for 3 weeks and stopped the prilosec. I then tapered it off and only take it maybe once every two days. I sleep like a baby. No sore throats,endless burping, chest pain. it is really a miracle cure for me. It is a liquid, a little strange to taste but worth anything.I DO NOT work for this company!I am a retired 69 year old woman who was told by my medical doctor that due to my age it was something I would have to put up with for the rest of my life.I was concerned about the side effects of Prilosec and that was why I searched around for an alternative

No - I'm not on any blood pressure medicine. I currently take 40 mg of protonix, zyrtec and singulair.
how's your heart health? any history of heart problems in the family? You may want to check into that. Also, my Dr. added 20mg of pepcid 2x a day along with my protonix 40 mg. You may want to suggest that too. Hope you find out what the problem is... are you a smoker? Any possibility it could be COPD or Emphysema?
