Both Olux and Olux E contain the same medicine clobetasol so it probably doesn't matter which one you use. You'll get the therapeutic benefit from either. Or you could confirm with your doctor which one he/she intended for the scalp.

I realize this question was asked a while ago but the first answer given wasn't the best. While it is true both versions contain the same medication, there are differences. Olux-E contains an Emollient to help avoid skin dryness that is common with Olux.
If you have an issue in your scalp you do NOT want Olux-E as this will make your hair look and feel oily.
