- percocet, suboxone
... anything. BUt i do have scripts for percocet and LT and i just have an addictive personality so i would mch rather take about an 8mg Sub a day and sometimes a 4mg just bevause i dont want to risk taking ANY opiates. I may be starting a new job in January. I am scared about the drug test. Granted i do have a scipt for percocets and if the suboxone came up as an opiate i could just show them my script. Does anyone know what suboxone comes up as in a drug test? some people have told me they have to test specifically for Buprenorphine for it to come up.
Could someone who really knows about this info answer me honestly please. Excuse my spelling and grammer. I am in a huge rush! thanks so much

I am not sure if i posted my question in the right place so other members can give me feedback. My main concern is a drug test and will the Suboxone show up on a drug test. Like i said in my earlier question i have not been on any hard drugs. I have taking pain pills here and there and i really do not like the effect so i go back to the sub immediatly. I want to stay on the sub for a minute but def not long term. Like i would like to taper off sooner than later. I do not even have a dr. My ex boyfriend who was heavily using opiates got prescribed to the sub and i just know my addictive persoality and i would rather take a little sub a day than pain pills. i have tapered off the sub not long ago and then went and took some pain pills for a couple days and hated it so for me it is to keep me on the straight and narrow because i do not want to take pain pills at all. It helpe me mentally as well as blocks any opiates that would go in my body and off course i do not even try to take anything on the sub. I am just scared of it showing up in a drug test. I cant imagine it showing anyhting but an opiate because tchically that is what it is. please help! thanks

Bean - I'm not judgin', but best to get off the suboxs. AND the pain pills NOW. Go to meetings, get addiction counseling, get help. There's no excuse to take anything just because you have an addictive personality. Seriously, people have severe pain and serious addiction problems. Please, don't go down this path, JUST BECAUSE...
I guarantee you, you'll thank me or someone someday, so there's no point in getting the answer to your question because the real question should be, "How do I get help NOW with my addictive personality before I start a job that I WILL eventually end up getting busted at and LOSE!" Just sayin...

Dear Bean... I am told by my sub doc that suboxone does not routinely show up on a drug test if it is it not specifically requested.
As far as the percocets... if u are not taking them u should not have to worry. U would have to take a ton of the percs to have any effect because the subs will just knock them off the receptor site. Try to google buprenorphine drug testing. Also I would discuss this with the doc who prescribes the sub for you.
Yes subs do have a very long half life and the time frame you described is correct.
Sorry... this is all I can tell u for now. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgable will come here soon to answer more fully.
