I had an injury on Setp. 20 in my calf that caused a clot. All symptoms are gone and I am doing short distance(2 mile) walk/run exercises with no indication of any circulation restriction. I would like to get some real miles in before the event, does any one have some insight on this?

To my knowledge there are no health problems while running unless you have a bad fall during the race. Do you have any pain in your calf or feel the need to stretch while walking or running? I am having a similar problem and have a clot about a month younger that yours. I typically feel the need to stretch the calf muscle after long speed walks. Good luck on your race if you decide to run it.
