No, you should be fine as long as you took a pill each day. No worries!! Optimally they are best taken around the same time but it really doesnt matter a great deal if you are early or late by a few hours as long as you take a pill each day. They work best if you do not go more than 24 hours without a pill but you dont increase your chance of pregnancy much if you take it a bit late. BCP have about a 98-99% effectiveness rate so out of 100 women, 1-2 get pregnant while on the Pill. This rate is actually about the same, just a little less, than tubal ligation (although with tubal ligation the odds get better the longer you go without a pregnancy so that after 5 years or more the tubal ligation is up to 100% effective) Always be sure that if you are on an antibiotic while on the Pill, you use a back up method while you are on the antibiotic, and for 14 days after you finish. More women get pregnant by being on antibiotics and not using back up than any other time while on the Pill.

(Just a little reminder there!) If you do miss a day, take it as soon as you remember the next day, even if it is at the same time as that day's pill. You should use a back up for about a week if you miss a pill. If you miss more than one day, call your prescriber to ask them how to take the Pill from there on. Sometimes if you miss more than a day or two they will have you discard and start a new pack but different Drs and NP's have different protochols for missed pills so be sure and ask your prescriber if you miss more than one days pills. :)
