The Dr. is not checking T3 or T4. I have gained 40 pounds since then I try to eat right and could do more exercise. What can I do to loose the weight? I wasn't this heavy when I was pregnant

Are you taking medication to counteract the loss of thyroxine in your body? Your doctor should have prescribed something. Have you asked for more frequent blood tests? You are well within your rights to demand these if you are getting undesirable effects after your surgery. I'm sorry to hear about the weight gain, i know it can really hit your confidence. I would insist you ask to be seen asap. I hope things get better for you

Hi, i'm sorry i didn't read your question properly! I have had a look in to side effects of taking Levoxyl and weight gain in its own right is not listed. Increased appetite however is. Have you experienced the increased appetite leading to the weight gain or has the weight gain appeared without a reasonable explanation? I would still insist on blood tests as it sounds like you are suffering from hypothyroidism.
