My surgery went well, they blocked the nerves in my arm, scary to have done, I couldn't feel my arm I had to ask where it was at, now I am waiting for the pathology to come back to find out if the tumor was cancerous or not. They also did the carpal tunnel surgery at the same time. Pain not too bad in the carpal tunnel incision, however the metacarpal tumor one is killing me, lots of swelling too. however, I shall survive. Thanks for all the encouragement prior to my ordeal, I sure appreciated all the help and great advice. Have a great day my friends. ((hugs))
I had my surgery finally?

Thanks everyone!, This typing with one hand is no fun, but soon enough the cast will be off, and it will be good therapy typing and getting the use of my left hand back to normal again, my pain control is going super, I had a wonderful hand surgeon, very compassionate, caring and great people skills ,a long lost art by many doctors now . I just pray the path reports bring good news also.
Again thanks to all for the kind words of support, my hubby has been so great with all that I am going through , patient and loving as usual. (((hugs))) to all!

Hello everyone!.. All the prayers have helped me! My tumor is not cancer, I am able to type with both hands, a bit weak, very little pain, and doing well, considering, I just passed another two kidney stones yesterday at the ER, does it ever end???? Not with me, however, I have all you folks to talk with and depend on when I need it the most, again thanks again!!!! I am having a great day after seeing the Dr. and getting the good news.... :) (((hugs))) Gwendolene

I am so glad that your surgery is over. It sound as though it went very well. I will continue to pray for you, especially waiting the pathology report. I am sure your Marine man is taking extra special care of you as you recover.
It is great that you share your issues with us. Even though you have a wonderful, supportive husband, sharing on here lets you get different insights. It also hopefully lessens the load you need to put on him.
I am usually home everyday so anytime you want to chat, I am available. We can chat privately if you prefer. Sable.

Very happy for you! Glad to see you back and typing. So obviously you "found" your arm? I'll say extra prayers for you my friend that all goes well with pathology. Not only will you survive, you will thrive again. Get rest and do not over do it. We all look forward to having you back answering questions, helping people, and most of all, wishing you a full recovery.
your friend,
chris

Hi there,
I'm never sure where to add my replys here lol.. so I just keep adding to the original one, Path report came back non cancerous . Yahoooo... My had is a little week, or rather my wrist and left pinkie joint, however I'm forcing myself to type with both hands a little at a time, and squeezing a little blue squishy ball to keep up my strength and muscles, I'v had no problems getting the pain meds I NEED, so that is a huge plus considering I'm now expected to have yet another back surgery, from my neck down each and every vertabra is cracked and every disc is bulging narrowing the inner spinal canal and cutting off the nerve supply causing my left side of my body to feel totally numb~ it never ends... I shall perservere tho' what other choice do I have? I just want to feel like other people... "normal", if there is such a thing, to all who answered and prayed for me I really appreciate all of you folks from the bottom of my heart. (((hugs))) Gwendolene
