how long can it take what ur issues there
Both my brother in laws had this surgery. Do you smoke or dip skoal? That will definitely make for a slower recovery. One that did not dip or smoke recovered very quickly. The other that dipped still has some issues. Physical Therapy helps a whole bunch too. Good Luck... And I don't know how long ago it was but my brother in law was back at work in a few days.
I had a fusion surgery in my neck due to a car accident. I received hydro codeine pain killers as well for about 4 months. My doctor wanted to take me off of the pain killers because of addiction, but never said that. Just a guess. I told him I was still having pain and he wanted me to go without painkillers for at least 5 days. The first 3 days my neck hurt like hell, but on the 5th day most of my neck pain was gone. I think it was all in my head that I still needed hydro codeine to dull the pain. Anyhow this was 4 years ago and I rarely have neck pain anymore. I lift weights at the gym 5 days a week, and I have a very athletic lifestyle. Anyway hope this helps, hang in there. My doctor told me I was in the lucky 15% that is able to have surgery and then walk away from this injury with no type of paralysis. Everyday is a blessing, and I have just an awesome outlook on life now, you seem to value it that much more when you're so close to death. That last sentenced might sound strange, but it's true for me.
