If you only take the Norco for a week or so for the most severe pain you should be OK. But as far along as you are you need to be careful in case you go into labor early. Short term opiate use will not harm your baby at this point. If you take it close to delivery the babies' respiration could be depressed... but only if close to delivery. Laurie is correct that if you take it for any length of time, even two weeks, you could run the risk of your baby going into withdrawal. I would discuss this with your obstetrician and do EXACTLY what he tells you to do. So sorry you broke your ankle. I hope you feel better soon. Congratulations on your new baby to be!! pup
