Start drinking Tonic water when you have leg cramps.

Baxter labs put out an over the counter medication for leg cramps too.

I may have some useful information re. restless legs.
Having suffered restless leg syndrome (RLS) when trying to fall asleep–a condition that dates back thirty years–I tried many medications. The current popular RLS meds.–whose names I don't remember–did nothing to relieve restless legs and gave me a hangover.
Then, in July of 2004 I underwent a liver transplant and was prescribed Neurontin AKA Gabapentine for the nerve pain. Gabapentine worked to greatly reduce this pain and from the very first dose of 900 mg, my restless legs ceased and have never returned.
Gabapentine has no known toxicity (I think.) For me, it was my miracle med.
Presently I take 900 mg morning, noon and night. I'm not fatigued during the day as some have reported.
Also, Gabapentine is effective at allowing one to maintain a longer period of REM sleep.
Hope you have the same thumbs up experience as did I.
