outdoorgrl... Herceptin infusions. I'm due to start a 5-year Femara regimen, but am just now starting to feel better and even grow some hair. I'm not ready to experience the negative side effects of Femara yet. How long can I safely wait before starting Femara? I realize I'll need to discuss it further with my oncologist, but won't meet with her for another month.
I finished chemo treatment for stage II breast cancer one month ago, but am still receiving regular?

First of all congratulations on finishing chemo, hope it did its job. They say you should start the Femara as soon as you can so it can continue fighting the cancer cells for you. I understand completely about wanting a break from side effects, I am on my 3rd round of cancers, Ovarian/Uterian cancer stage 2 almost 3 when found, Colon cancer beginning stages, and now another that needs to be started on which I will be doing on June 11. I am scared but thanks to some wonderful people on this site supporting and praying for me I am not quite so scared as I was. Anytime you need to talk please do it does help alot to know you are not alone in this fight. I will add you as a friend so if you want to talk about it privately for any reason please look me up in this site o.k..
