Methergine (methylergonovine maleate) Tablets, USP & (methylergonovine maleate) Injection, USP
Preventing and treating bleeding after delivery of a baby. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Methergine is an ergot alkaloid. It works by increasing uterine contractions, which helps reduce blood loss after the baby is delivered.
