I am now down to 900mg neurontin and 750mg robaxin. I am having horrible crawling and goose bump feelings. I dont know which med is causing this?
any suggestions?
I was on the medicne for 6 months for severe back pain. I had spinal surgery
in Oct 09 and the Dr. says stop taking meds. I do not want to take them much longer due to tiredness and mental fog.
I am withdrawing from 3600mg of neurontin and 3x750mg robaxin daily?

Both are most likely cause you to have withdrawals. To most severe withdrawal symptom that comes from Neurontin are Seizures, Anxiety, Insomnia, Nausea, Pain and Sweating. The most common withdrawal symptoms that come with Methocarbamol are pretty much the same. This can be prevented by slowly taking lower doses until you get off which may take some time but just do it slowly. As long as you have the drug in your system it's less likely that you will experience withdrawal symptoms. So slowly start tampering off both medications with lower doses and continue to do this for a while until you reach your desired amount or until your completely off both of the medications. I hope this helps. I've also experienced withdrawal. It's not a fun at all. If you have any other questions feel free to add me as a friend and send me a private message. Happy Holidays!

The feelings you are experiencing I have had when I ran out of Neurontin and went from 1200 a day to nothing. You need to do this tapering slowly. Keep at where you are till you feel that the crawling and goose bumbs stop then go down another 300 mg. Stay on that for about a week and try to go down again. If the feelings come back, stay at that dosage till you feel better then go another 300 mg down.
Sorry I do not know about the Robaxin so I would just take down on that slowly.
Hope your Christmas was a Merry One

Once I forgot to take my Neurontin (300mg 3xdaily) for 4 days. On the 5th day I was sweating, hot/cold, shaking and feeling feverish and weak. Then I realized it was the Neurontin because I started taking it again and my symptoms vanished. I don't know about the Robaxin, never had that.

I am by no means a medical person I have taken Robaxin 500mg 4 times a day but not the neurontin I have a good friend who was on the neurontin and her doctor was so very careful about lowering her dose after she had been on it (shingles in her eyes) I guess nerve pain, just be very careful in lowering the dosages too quickly, I recall the mental fog so since I was on the Robaxin that may play a large part but I also recall my neurologist saying they prescribe it for other things so just be sure and be safe I hope I have helped in some way
