Will keflex help my tooth as well? I have been on keflex for 1 day. It is a broken tooth and started to be painful to bite on yesterday, but not throbbing.
I am taking keflex for a bladder infection and suspect I may have an infected tooth?

I realize t his answer is a little bit late but still may be helpful.
Yes, Keflex will help an infected/broken tooth. If it's not infected yet then it will act prophylactically to prevent an infection. However, I would suggest that you see a dentist as soon as possible to remedy the broken tooth problem... before you run out of Keflex.
Keflex is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics. Keflex fights bacteria in the body.
Keflex is used to treat infections caused by bacteria, including upper respiratory infections, ear infections, skin infections, and urinary tract infections.
