My readings have been running high so something isn't working. I have to eat my pm meal late around 8-9:30 pm most nights because of my work schedule. I need to get my readings down or my doctor will want me on insulin his preferred way to treat diabetes. My readings and diabetes have been in good control for the last 6 years its just within the past 6-9 months things have went bad. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you are taking Glumetza in the evening then it's probably a good idea to take glyburide in the morning, with breakfast. But please check with your doctor as well.
I totally agree with your doctor about using insulin to treat diabetes. If your blood sugars aren't easily controlled by oral medicines then I wouldn't waste any time on trying many other combinations. Once your insulin doses are stabilized you'll be fine. Keeping your blood sugars in normal range prevents other complications.
