carolejoa...Does Elmiron really work well for you? I wonder if I give up fruit, coffee, wine, and all of the other things on the list if I wouldn't need elmiron.
I am taking Elmiron for IC. The worst side effect is diahrea. Is this a common side effect?

keep in mind that elmiron is a low grade of heparin, i have not encountered any problems with it like that, but i try each food that i like, my coffee is decaf, the regular one causes pain, you must weigh things fr yourself to see how things agravate you, certain foods though, i run from so write your list of your person experience and compare to the lists your doctor gave you, but it works and is working fine for me, i take it 3 times a day... good luck to you and keep me vtech10
