... experiencing different feelings or side effect than when you first started Pristiq? I am very tired & sleep alot, not motivated, eating constantly, throat clearing problem. Afraid to increase dosage, have heard side effects get worse. Please help me

i've been on pristiq for 14 to 15 months with i think no side effects i feel great most of the time with the depression at times i want to ask to increase but my husband can't stand me when i'm feeling my best anymore he's not use to it lol. but i also have fibromyalgia and take lyrica it's when i went on the lyrica i noticed the weight gain and i don't eat that much to have put on 30 pounds but i'll take that if it's the relief in pain that i got. i'm no doctor but maybe you should talk with yours becauce some of what you descibe is depression maybe the pristiq isn't your drug of choice or like you said ask to increase it ,if the side effects got worst then you could stop and then you'd know for sure it was the pristiq .you mentioned thoat clearing problem etc thinking back i did have a problem with all you have but mine turned out to be thyroid problems and i had to have it removed sorry i didn't think of that 1st . hope this has helped you . sorry for the book report. missy

I've been on 50 mg for a year. It works but not as well as I would like it too. I've thought about going up on the dose and in fact 2 doctors have asked me to but like you, I don't know given the manufacturers own statements are an increase really doesn't make a difference.
